Two Lame Parties
Democrats and Republicans
I think it is easy to prove you are making a mistake if you are a Democrat or Republican.
If you worked for Enron or were a shareholder you have to admit the organization has/had no credibility, and you would therefore abandon your loyalties. Similarly, if you can prove corruption in your political party will you embrace it over and over or abandon it and work with a better model? Below I will prove why it’s obvious that your political party is corrupt, and you should permanently quit it in favor of a new third party or no party affiliation at all.
It is extremely easy to prove corruption and other ills are pervasive throughout both parties. Are you associated with Democrats? Then you are associated with winners like William Jefferson, who was found with $70,000 in his freezer and was re-elected by perhaps the stupidest people on earth, other than maybe those who voted convicted crack head Marion Barry back as mayor of DC some time ago. And irrespective of pervasive illegal and immoral activity, the congressional chairmen are now folks like of Chuck Rangel, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, John Conyers, etc. Those you can’t trust because they are heavily left wing partisans, and seem likely to bankrupt the country and leave us unsafe from foreign invasion. Carl Levin isn’t so bad. I sat next to him once at a Redskins/Lions game and he cusses like a sailor so I kinda like him. Moreover those with no credibility whatsoever are the PR leaders of the Dem party to the outside world, like Howard Dean and John Kerry - totally lame if you ask me and 75% of Americans.
If you are a Republican, may God help you too. You are associating yourself with the likes of “The Hammer” Tom Delay, who has manipulated people, the system, and your pocketbook to maintain his power and that of his party. Or another great winner, macaca man, George Allen. While I loved Allen Sr. as the Redskins coach during the glory days, the son is just a racist idiot, who managed to lose his own race due to one comment, and therefore ruined the entire election and control of congress for the Republican party. And how about Abramoff, the poster boy for the party. How many other scum Republicans were in his back pocket beyond Delay? How about pedophile predator Mark Foley; are you associating yourself with his party too? Duke Cunnigham anyone? Is this dude part of your party or are you part of his? Or James Traficant and Bob Ney, other evil crooks, in this case from Ohio. Oh I see, you are a “Reagan Republican”. Well get on your horse and buggy and head to Hollywood, because the Reagan era is over and you can’t be of any value to society reminissing about it. Work on the future and shake your partisan ghosts.
You just can’t dissociate yourself from the corruption if you are supporting the broken two-party system that insulates it.
Give yourself a break; give your country a break; and most of all give me a break.
One Comment on “Two Lame Parties”
I find your argument kind of ridiculous. I agree that the two-party system is ineffective and prevents people from getting anything done in Washington because they remain focused on less-important partisan issues. I agree that the two-party system keeps new, fresh, and original ideas, that could really solve a lot of America’s problems, out of legislation. But the statement that you are wrong if you do happen to have democratic or republican viewpoints, based SOLELY on the corruption of a few members of both parties, is a weak argument at best. If you want to argue that democrats and republicans are wrong, then attack their views, not the corrupt behavior of a few officials. That is a totally different argument and has nothing to do with the two-party system.
(By the way, did you know that the kid who George Allen called “Macaca” went to TJ and UVA?)
