Pelosi insanity
Senator Pelosi is one of the most impressive politicians to emerge as a leader recently. She seems real sweet too. Unfortunately her politics are all messed up. “San Francisco politics” should stay in San Francisco. I am betting Nancy’s supporters outside the Bay area will tire of her after they see more bad moves, like her support of John Murtha for a leadership position.
Ironically Nancy just acquired her own power on a platform partially focused on anti-corruption. Yet, she battled in support of her friend Murtha eventhough he was caught on a video from the “Abscam” era telling presumed Arab sheiks that he might take their bribes “later on”. I think the voters and leaders should say “later on” to Murtha.
Can you believe the second most powerful American woman blew her first fight in such a haphazard manner? The fight was a loser anyhow since the Dems favored Hoyer for the spot all along. And again Murtha was obviously the wrong guy for the job. Pelosi’s possible excuses are that Murtha is her friend and he is a fierce anti-Bush/cut-and-runner like Pelosi herself. But you just can’t fight corruption and embrace corrupt people simultaneously or you’ll lose all credibility, like Nancy has.
Whether or not you think we should leave Iraq you have to admit that Bush and the Dems voted together to go in, relying on the same bogus information.
Speaking of SanFran politics – can you believe the nerve of these people to cancel the ROTC program and displace a few thousand kids who were using it for job skills and discipline training. Of course, the SF schools take our tax money but city leaders don’t feel any need to help defend our country from terror or allow SF students and their families to make their own life decisions.
